Ben Waxman
Ben Waxman is running for State House in the 182nd District, representing part of Philadelphia County.
Ben is a former journalist and previously worked for Senator Vincent Hughes and District Attorney Larry Krasner. Ben has served on the board of the Center City Residents Association, the Jewish Labor Committee, and the 8th Ward Democratic Executive Committee.
Ben believes that Pennsylvania needs to adopt a plan that would deliver sustainable, union jobs building green infrastructure to promote a green economy. He vows to never approve new funding or subsidies for fossil fuel infrastructure, and he will fight to end fracking while getting those workers into sustainable green infrastructure jobs. Ben also wants to increase funding for green modernization projects for community buildings, including schools and recreation centers.
Ben will bring 20 years of experience fighting for Philadelphians to the State House to advocate for positive change for the environment. We urge voters in the 182nd District to elect him as State Representative.
