Rep. Jessica Benham
Rep. Jessica Benham is running for re-election to the State House in Allegheny County.
Rep. Benham was the co-founder and former Director of Development for the Pittsburgh Center for Autism Advocacy and is a current member of the Climate Caucus. Rep. Benham’s climate change platform includes combatting flooding and landslides, improving stormwater management, reducing fossil fuel pollution, working with organized labor to improve the oil and gas industries’ treatment of workers and lack of regard for environmental regulations, and helping communities most impacted by climate change.
Rep. Benham has co-sponsored a bill to protect existing riparian buffers and to repair impaired buffers to combat flooding. She also brought back substantial funding to the 36th district for more functional multimodal corridors and to address significant trail hazards on a section of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail in Baldwin Borough.
Representative Jessica Benham is facing a tough primary challenge. We urge voters in the 36th district to re-elect Rep. Jessica Benham so she can continue to combat the causes and effects of climate change in Harrisburg.
