Rep. Greg Vitali
Rep. Greg Vitali is running for re-election to the State House in Delaware County’s 166th district. He earned a 100% on the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard.
Prior to his time in the legislature, Vitali was a community activist and lawyer in Havertown. Rep. Vitali currently serves as the Minority Chair for the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee. He was the first Pennsylvania legislator to introduce both climate change legislation and the idea of a severance tax on natural gas.
Vitali has been a proven leader for the environment during his 28 years in the State House. He has called for the 2022-23 FY budget to fully fund the Department of Environmental Protection and stood up to opponents of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative during House Environmental Resources and Energy meetings and hearings. In August of 2021, Vitali called for Pennsylvania to enact methane regulations after Governor Wolf’s administration had been slow to do so.
Representative Greg Vitali is facing a primary challenge. We urge voters in the 166th district to re-elect Rep. Greg Vitali, a true environmental champion.
