Kristin Proto, West Grove

Kristin Proto is running for Borough Council in the West Grove Borough of Chester County.

Kristin is the Executive Director of The Garage Community and Youth Center in West Grove. Through her work with AmeriCorps, Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, and PathStone Corporation, she has over 14 years experience in the non-profit sector, working with immigrants, refugees, and at-risk youth, while developing educational and work-readiness programs.

Kristin supports passing a resolution for her borough to transition to 100% renewable energy and establishing ordinances that require any and all future infrastructure upgrades to be powered through clean and renewable energy. With public transportation currently limited in her rural community, she will advocate for reinstituting passenger train lines where the infrastructure is already in place and expanding pedestrian access to essential private and public locations in the area.
