[Philadelphia, PA] – Today, Conservation Voters of PA endorsed Rep. Tina Davis (D) for State Senate in Bucks County’s 6th District. Conservation Voters of PA represents thousands of individuals in the Commonwealth who are committed to clean air, land, energy, and water, and prepared to vote for candidates who reflect those values.
“In her time as a State Representative, Tina Davis has proven that she is a true environmental champion,” said Josh McNeil, Executive Director of Conservation Voters of PA. “We know she will bring her support of clean air, land, and water to the Senate with her when elected.”
Rep. Davis represents the 141st District in the State House. Currently in her third term as a State Representative, Rep. Davis has an excellent track record of pro-environment votes and earned a lifetime score of 96 percent on our 2017/2018 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard. In the last legislative session, Rep. Davis was the prime sponsor of bills that would establish recycling at all turnpike rest stops, increase transparency when precious wetlands are bought or sold, and increase accountability among municipal water and wastewater authorities. Prior to serving in the State Legislature, Rep. Davis was elected to the Bristol Township Council, where she followed through on her campaign promise to improve stormwater management issues in her community.
Rep. Davis said of the endorsement, “I am proud and honored to receive Conservation Voters of PA's endorsement for State Senate. In Harrisburg, I will continue to fight to protect Pennsylvania's air and water, and never stop fighting for a cleaner environment. The work of Conservation Voters of PA is critical to advancing strong environmental policies, and I look forward to working with them.”
