John Kane
Senator Kane is running for reelection in the 9th Senate District, which is a part of Chester County. He earned an 80% on our 2023-2024 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard.
Sen. Kane previously worked as a union plumber for Local 690, where he helped members navigate the economic uncertainties of the Great Recession. In the State Senate, Sen. Kane has been a strong advocate for reforming Act 12 of 2016, which has been a burden for the water and sewer ratepayers of Pennsylvania. He will also continue to hold polluters accountable and push for strong restrictions on pipeline buildout. He also recently became the Senate co-chair of the bipartisan Nuclear Energy Caucus, which will help protect the existing fleet of nuclear reactors and look for ways to expand nuclear energy across the Commonwealth.
Sen. Kane has been a strong advocate for the environment, and we’re confident he’ll continue his great work in the Senate. We urge votes of the 9th District to re-elect him in November.
