Conservation Voters of PA Statement on EPA Power Plant Rule

Harrisburg, PA –  In response to the EPA’s proposed rules to limit carbon pollution from some new and existing fossil-fueled power plants, Conservation Voters of PA issued the following statement from Executive Director, Molly Parzen:

“The EPA today proposed new rules to limit carbon pollution from some new and existing fossil-fueled power plants. This is an important step in limiting pollution and will lead to cleaner air, healthier communities, and a more livable climate.

As this important proposal moves forward, we urge the EPA to finalize the strongest possible rules by early next year and ensure that they are shaped by input from the communities that will be most impacted.

We will continue to advocate for solutions at all levels of government to improve the health of our communities across Pennsylvania.”
