[Philadelphia, PA] – Today, Conservation Voters of PA endorsed State Representative James Roebuck for re-election in Philadelphia’s 188th district. Conservation Voters of PA represents thousands of individuals in the Commonwealth committed to clean air, land, energy, and water, and prepared to vote for candidates who reflect those values.
“Rep. Roebuck has been a strong voice for the environment in Harrisburg for the last 33 years. As one of the longest serving State House members, Rep. Roebuck is one of our most experienced advocates for clean air, land, and water,” said Josh McNeil, Executive Director of Conservation Voters of PA. “We need to send Rep. Roebuck back to Harrisburg to continue standing up against giveaways to the gas industry and advocating for clean renewable energy."
Rep. Roebuck has served the constituents of the 188th district since 1985.He has provided an important vote against environmental attacks, including attempts to delay critical protection against climate change and against giveaways to the drilling industry. He is a longtime environmental champion who has a lifetime pro-environment score of 93%.
Rep. Roebuck said of the endorsement, “As a State Representative, I've always been an advocate for good conservation policies that advance the cause of clean air and safe water. I look forward to continuing that support in the next session.”
