[Philadelphia, PA] – Today, Conservation Voters of PA endorsed Christina Sappey (D) for State Representative in Chester County’s 158th District. Conservation Voters of PA represents thousands of individuals in the Commonwealth who are committed to clean air, land, energy, and water, and vote for candidates who reflect those values.
“Chris Sappey knows what it takes to make change in Harrisburg, and she has made environmental issues like sustainability, land conservation, and supporting green businesses an integral part of her campaign,” said Caren Glotfelty, Board Chair of Conservation Voters of PA. “Ms. Sappey is the right choice for the 158th district, and we know she will be a strong champion for environmental issues in Harrisburg.”
Ms. Sappey has lived in Chester County for 25 years. As Chief of Staff and Director of Legislative Initiatives for several state legislators, Ms. Sappey has extensive experience working across party lines to get things done. Ms. Sappey is a founding member of the Marshallton Conservation Trust and has made environmental issues an integral part of her campaign. She has vowed to be a strong advocate for clean air, land, and water, and is even running a fully sustainable campaign office through limiting single-use plastics and prioritizing digital communications over paper. If elected, she’s committed to supporting a severance tax and promoting sustainable industries in Chester County.
