Nikil Saval
Nikil Saval is running for the State Senate in the 1st District, representing part of Philadelphia County. He is a community organizer and founder of Reclaim Philadelphia, an organization that works to advance progressive policies and candidates.
Nikil’s campaign advocates for a Green New Deal, including 100% clean energy by 2030, clean transportation, environmental justice policies, and unionized green jobs. Nikil will fight to establish a climate equity fund through which 40% of revenue from the transition away from fossil fuels is directed to frontline and vulnerable communities, including communities of color and deindustrialized communities. He also advocates for subsidizing the emerging green energy sector, decarbonizing Pennsylvania’s infrastructure and housing, and expanding public transportation.
Nikil Saval will be an environmental champion in Harrisburg, and we encourage voters to elect him to the State Senate for District 1.
