Mark Higgins
Mark is running for re-election as Centre County Commissioner. Prior to being Commissioner, Mark worked as an industry turnaround specialist, creating and saving jobs at several businesses.
Together with his fellow Commissioners, Mark ensured that the Centre County corrections facility now has a very large solar array that powers the entire facility. They are currently designing the largest possible solar array for the human services building project that will start this Fall. Centre County commissioners are also working on installing electric vehicle charging stations at the county office building. They will also be working with PSU’s Sustainability Institute to employ an intern in the planning department this coming school year who will be conducting a greenhouse gas inventory for the county and helping develop a climate action plan.
Mark has been a proven leader in creating jobs and protecting our environment. We strongly urge you to re-elect him on November 7.
