Ben Waxman
Representative Waxman is running for reelection for the 182nd State House District, which is a part of Philadelphia County. He earned a 100% on the 2023-2024 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard.
Rep. Waxman is a former journalist and previously worked for Senator Vincent Hughes and District Attorney Larry Krasner. Ben has served on the board of the Center City Residents Association and the Jewish Labor Committee. Rep. Waxman has been a strong advocate for increased funding for public transportation, introducing legislation to expand local funding options for public transportation agencies like SEPTA. This will help take more cars off the road, which will reduce pollution and combat respiratory illnesses. He also cosponsored the Solar for Schools Grant Program, the Community Solar Act, and the bill to set energy efficiency standards for commercial and residential appliances.
Rep. Waxman has been a fierce advocate for the environment in the State House, and we’re confident he’ll continue his great work. We urge voters of the 182nd to re-elect him in November.
